DENVER (KDVR) — A United flight diverted to Denver after crews reported an issue with an engine.
United Airlines confirmed to FOX31 that a flight from San Francisco to Paris had to land at Denver International Airport Thursday evening.
Crew members on the Boeing 777-200 reported having an issue with one engine. Even though the issues were reported, United said the flight did not declare an emergency landing, but emergency services were standing by for the plane’s arrival as a precaution.
United said the flight landed safely, and all 273 passengers and 12 crew members deplaned.
Since the flight was canceled upon arrival in Denver, passengers are still waiting for their next available flight to Paris. United said it is working with customers to find flight options on Friday.
This isn’t the first United flight that had to be diverted to Denver mid-trip this year.

This is sounding more like sabotage than DEI.
People throwing coins in the engine for Luck ?
Companies that hire based on Kolor, Kink and/or Kin endanger their customers. And yes, there are plenty of people qualified who are ‘of color’... but going ‘the easy way’ and just filling slots with unqualified people is a disaster waiting to happen.
Odd this happening all of a sudden and regularly....
You bet, having landing gear or wheels fall off in flight is not uncommon....lol ☺
I used to fly a lot. Glad I don’t anymore. My biggest problem is how they pack the flights now. Usually not even an empty seat anymore. The major airlines acquired smaller ones and reduced the number of flights. They were able to charge more and pack their planes. I fly a few times per year now and hate every minute of it.
taken that flight 4 times once in Oct 2001. Much if it overland including greenland, Ireland and down to France. Some water but not what you might epect. Is it better to go down in water or on land?
When I was in military aviation it was mandatory that we declare an emergency if we lost an engine. Even though we still had three running perfectly normal and there was no danger at all if it was just a shutdown with no fire.
Sure, the editors have to get Boeing into the headline somehow.
I’m starting to think United has DEI maintenance crews.
Fixed it for you...
