Joseph I. Lieberman, the doggedly independent four-term U.S. senator from Connecticut who was the Democratic nominee for vice president in 2000, becoming the first Jewish candidate on the national ticket of a major party, died March 27 in New York City. He was 82.
The cause was complications from a fall, his family said in a statement.

No, he left office several years ago.
Didn’t he just ream Chuckie Schumer for his Israel bashing last week?? Wow. They really do have “6 ways to Sunday,” eh?
Very classy.
Likewise. May the good Lord take you to his bosom. Thank you God, our almighty creator, through our Lord Jesus the Christ, Amen.
Only ten days after he slammed Schumer. Has Schumer started to use HRC’s suicide aid?
Yeah, he was one of the few democrats that had some common sense.
Too bad.
One of the things I remembered most about Lieberman was when he ran for the Senate back in ‘88. He was going up against Lowell Weicker, a liberal Republican.
Being a Pol sci major, I loved watched re-runs of the Senate race debates.
In that debate, Weicker was bloated, his face was red and he was sweating a lot. He looked nervous.
Lieberman was smooth and non-plussed.
As I watched the debate, I asked myself “If I were an undecided voter (I wasn’t) and placed my vote on physical appearance and demeanor, who would I vote for?”
The answer was Lieberman.
Saw him on newsmax recently talking about the primaries..died from complications from a fall, a shame..RIP
You beat me to it with 40 seconds. :-)
RIP. One of the few sane Democrats.
Rest in Peace.

I saw him interviewed a couple of days ago and he seemed pretty healthy. It just goes to show that your end can come unexpectedly.
RIP, Senator. You were one of the few remaining DECENT Democrats.
The last of Democrat with a brain has died, a conscious, and a soul has died. May he rest in peace.
He was a weasel in the end. And he was one of the “good” democrats at the time when alford picked him to be his VP candidate.
He was a decent human being. So sorry this happened to him. Condolences to his family
That’s how FR started! To make fun of Sore Loserman
alford=algore
He was an old time liberal Democrat. They have been replaced by marxists.
Maybe ya had to be there . . .
Wish there were more democrats like him. Sad to see him go. RIP JL
