In the 1980s a female coworker’s woman friend was walking in bright daylight in a supposedly acceptable office building area of the City of Detroit with men in suits and women in office attire on either side.
Out of nowhere a man rushed up to her and swung his arm and slammed her in the face with a brick. She ended up in the ER from a broken bone under her eye and unable to breathe properly due to blood from her broken nose.
Such events turned out to be common but not one had been in the news. A police interview was her source from her hospital bed.
