No Indication of Terrorism in Baltimore Bridge Collapse, Says FBI

There is no “credible indication” of terrorism involved in the demise of the Francis Scott Key Bridge after it snapped at around 01:30 local time Tuesday following a container ship crashing into it.

The landmark structure in the U.S. city of Baltimore collapsed into the Patapsco River in the aftermath, however Maryland Governor Wes Moor has made clear “the preliminary investigation points to an accident. We haven’t seen any credible evidence of a terrorist attack.”

Special agent Bill DelBagno of the FBI’s Baltimore field office agreed, saying, “the FBI on very first looking at and assessing this matter form an investigative standpoint, I want to be clear there is no specific or credible information to suggest there are ties to terrorism in this incident.”

To become a harbor pilot takes YEARS, this was not a new hire.
The ship was under the control of the Harbor Pilots, they and only they control the vessel until it is out of the harbor. My guess is a massive failure of the shop guidance systems.

One expert yesterday said he observed smoke from the stack indicating that they increased power...which makes it easier to steer...right into the bridge support.

Is it possible that a hostile power could remotely override the ship's systems to drive it into the bridge support? If it can be done, Russia or China would likely have such ability. Alternatively, could Muslim terrorists or Spetznaz agents have seized control of the ship and killed the crew or taken them hostage? There are several hostile forces, such as the Russians and the Iranian backed terror groups, would have motivation to attack a major American port as retribution.

WHEW. The FBI is on the case. They have constantly shown us how trustworthy they are.

But watching that video. It seemed inevitable. Now the only thing left is who to blame as it is likely a Baltimore harbor pilot is a city employee. I will put my money on Trump and the city will sue the shipping company for billions.

Thank goodness it didn’t happen during rush hour. There could have been thousands killed.

They will find some little part in a spending bill that was kicked out that was going to that bridge (probably something like hang LGBTQWTF flags on it) and that is why it couldn’t take the impact of a massive ship.
