Scientists are “getting closer” to creating human embryos using the DNA of two men and no women.

Cloning is also problematic given our limited knowledge and crude techniques..
The clones are not exactly perfect copies...
I saw where commercial companies now will produce a clone of a beloved pet... I would not do this, the clone looks the same but it’s not so I’d rather just remember Fido and leave it at that.
Every time a cell divides the cells timer loses a set of telomeres from the gene sequence. When they’re gone the cell stops dividing. What happens to the clones which start out with a depleted clock?
Oh my God...what’s next??
Man playing God. A dangerous position to take.
Science, as usual, working very hard to fill a much needed void...
You seem well versed in these matters, have you worked in a related field?
“You seem well versed in these matters, have you worked in a related field?”
Nope. I’m a former engineer. But I read on a wide variety of technical articles.
DNA from two men. What could go wrong? Maybe males born with four testicles and two penises?
I dabbled in medicine for a while but ended up working in embedded systems, mostly biomedical devices.
I really don’t do much these days other than make hobby projects and read free republic :-)
This experimentation is getting serious and dangerous. (See Below with link they are insane but when has that stopped the crazy medical leftists?)
“Uterine transplantation entails the transplantation of the uterus, including the cervix, a cuff of vagina, the surrounding ligamentous and connective tissues, as well as the major blood vessels to the level of the internal iliac vessels. The uterus is then placed orthotopically in the pelvis of the recipient, where it is structurally supported using the uterosacral, round and broad ligaments laterally, the bladder peritoneum anteriorly, and the vagina and paravaginal tissues inferiorly.”
“In all UTx cases performed to date, the recipient’s vagina has been anastomosed to a vaginal cuff, of varying length, which is retrieved as part of the graft. This restores reproductive anatomy and allows physiological excretion of discharge and menstruation, but also allows direct visualisation of the cervix and access to take biopsies, which is the only reliable way to detect rejection following UTx.9 In the M2F transgender model, it would therefore only be possible following gender reassignment surgery (GRS), which traditionally includes orchidectomy, penectomy, clitoroplasty, and labiaplasty, with the subsequent creation of a neovagina. The inverted penile skin flap is the standard technique for neovagina creation,10 to line a newly created space between the bladder/prostate and the rectum. However intestine,11 or pelvic peritoneum,12 have also be utilised, particularly in cases with penoscrotal hypoplasia, which can be an iatrogenic consequence of feminising hormones.”

Babies with two penises. Or is that penii?
Hmmm. Never had to pluralize penis before. New frontiers.
OK, thanks.
My Latin was in 1966 HS.
We never covered that word.
High school Latin at a Catholic school 1962-65.
Sounds like a jackass in the making. Don't we have enough of those around?
I can just see it now in lights and on the marque...
“Super Homo.” Staring the drag queen quartet.
5.56mm
All of that just so they can say “happy new queer!”
