House Oversight and Accountability Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) suggested the impeachment vote against President Biden may not be the “best path” and said he instead thinks criminal referrals will be the way to go.
“I believe that the best path to accountability is criminal referrals,” Comer told Newsmax hosts Thursday.
The Oversight Committee held a hearing Wednesday on the impeachment inquiry into Biden. Democrats pressured Republicans to identify the criminal conduct underlying their probe, as doubts rise about the future of the investigation into the president’s business dealings.
Comer argued in the interview that “real accountability” for Biden now looks like “providing real criminal referrals to the Department of Justice,” because the Democratic-controlled Senate would likely table any impeachment into Biden “like they’re gonna do with the Merrick Garland impeachment.”

Criminal referral is fine, as long as it’s the Trump DOJ that reviews it, or better yet, a military tribunal since many of Biden’s influence peddling schemes rise to the level of treason.
I believe it started that way. Otherwise they wasted their time and our money.

Was always true. But with Trump, how they behave is more obvious.
These parties are all containment and gatekeeping so that the Right cannot organize and strike back.
And when they start to fail (like the UK “Conservatives”) they wheel out another fake party with more of the same (UK Reform).
Real opposition, they try to make it illegal, or put them in jail. Like AfD in Germany, or Trump, Berlusconi, Netanyahu.
Someone made Comer an offer he couldn’t refuse.
You were never going to get the Senate votes, despite the evidence. What the house did was fall short of evidence and most of the expectation fizzled. At the end of the day, it was more political than practical.
Impeachment is the only way because No Reasonable prosecutor would indict Joe Biden………

As most people are unaware of that fact, Comer may have been further sabotageing the effort while pretending he was doing something! I give you credit for knowing the facts. More people should read our founding, including the Bill of Rights!
