Prior to his election to Congress, Gallagher served as a military intelligence officer for seven years, including overseas deployments in the Iraq War, and worked as committee staff on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee. It’s remarkable how much grief I’ve gotten on FR for suggesting that I consider military veterans to be unfit for public office. Here’s one more example to support my case.
And a former military intelligence officer should have even less public respect than lawyers and child molesters.
