If Trump is unable to meet the bond requirement, the NY appellate courts won’t even review his first appeal. He’ll be in significant trouble financially, and have no avenue in the state courts for any hope of appellate relief.
Thanks for that input. I have seen supposed legal experts on both sides of this issue argue it recently. I have sen some say he must pay it himself, others insist that so long as NY gets access to the money he could then appeal. Unfortunately I have not seen that debated head to head, but someone yesterday did say they were trying to correct the record and that it doesn’t matter. Do you have a source? Thanks again.
