It's happening in Washington state as well (surprise,surprise)-
"Serial squatter' Sang Kim is refusing to leave this $2 million Bellevue, Seattle, Washington home and has pulled the same trick on his previous landlords, according to a lawsuit filed by his landlord."
In Washington state, you cannot get rid of homeless squatters on your front lawn - one case I read about the homeowner was trying to sell the home but no one would buy it because of the squatter on his front lawn - that 'came with the house.'

The squatter has to leave sometime. When he does, he must have an "accident", with plausible deniability.
