The EV market grew 40% YOY last year, and the fastest growth occurred in the 4th quarter. This is hardly an implosion. Some brands which switched over to electric with no prior experience in selling electric found that their intended audience hesitated shelling out the massive price increases which went along with the transition. Tesla meanwhile still can’t keep up with demand.

So, there’s no need for a government mandate or even subsidies then. Let the EV’s compete openly in the market place and if people want to buy them, be our guest. Why does the government need to be involved?
