lol it has been more than a few days, and they still have not been “pushed” out.
At the very least “the point” is that Russia is having to send troops and equipment to this area of the front which weakens other areas, at the most it shows to the Russian people that Putin can’t even defend actual Russian territory.
While ordering the taking of the rest of the illegally annexed Ukrainian territories, which they haven’t at great cost, parts of Russia are being lost

Nothing I've seen suggests that the Free Russian forces are anything more than a distraction or diversion to draw more Russian troops off the front lines in Ukraine.

They are not expected to stay long and are expected to eventually withdraw -- there are too few of them to do anything else.

But in the meantime, Free Russians could weaken the Russian defenses in Ukraine, and every little bit helps.
