A couple of years ago, I actually got a letter from the IRS.

It arrived in my mailbox and it terrified me when I saw the envelope.

I was expecting a small refund but instead got a letter.

I had forgotten to sign the 1040!

They wanted me to sign a copy and send it to them which I did.

Then several weeks later I got another letter.

They found a MISTAKE on my form!

I had not taken a deduction that they said I qualified for, so I actually was going to get a BIGGER refund, by a few dollars.

Why they didn’t do this before they sent the first letter and saved themselves some time I don’t know...............
