California's mega high-speed rail project between San Francisco to Los Angeles faces major funding hurdles

I bet that the ridership will not support it...................
>>The distance between Rancho Cucamonga to Los Angeles is around 40-50 miles depending on where your destination is in L.A.
That’s about an 8-hour drive in L.A. traffic, correct?
Feinstein’s Hubby-—Richard Blum owns company that got the contract.
No, at Rancho Cucamonga, you board Metrolink’s San Bernardino commuter train to go into L.A. Union Station. Eventually the Las Vegas train will go there too.
What’s another hunnert billion in view of the benefit of the project: free rides for illegals all the way to Fran Sanfrisco? I hear there are plenty of vacancies downtown...
It was initially approved at 33 million in 2008. Now it’s at 128 billion, asking for another 100 billion, and it’s not even half way completed after 15 years.
There are contractors out there milking this bad boy for probably another 20+ years and another 200 billion dollars of free pickings. Good work if you can get it.
boondoggle
noun
boon·dog·gle ˈbün-ˌdä-gəl -ˌdȯ-
: a wasteful or impractical project or activity often involving graft
The project is a complete boondoggle—over budget, behind schedule, and unnecessary.
Just for reference SpaceX spent $5.2 billion in 2022 and $3.3 billion in 2021.
In 2022, SpaceX had 96 successful missions and in 2021 61.
Crazy.
That would be a brand new wall all the way across the Southern AND Northern borders!
I believe they are still building bridges, etc, but have still laid insignificant amounts of rail. The globalist media monolith does amazing contortions to put high percentage numbers vis-a-vis completion, but the (nominally private) Brightline trains in Florida are already up and running, while the Cali project hasn't really done anything but make some people rich and construct some truly brutalist ROW projects.
Funny how these things happen... or don't.
How many airplane tickets from LA to Sacramento can you buy for $1 Bil?
Or wait for some 737s to come up cheap and buy them for the CA Air Force and Delivery service.
Billion, not million...
Yes.
Politicians:
Hey, it’s not like it’s our own money. Just spend it.💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸
A number of opion polls in California showed support for expensive public transportation projects like this. And polls showed the Californians wanted other people to ride on them and they said they would continue to drive their own cars.
Holy smokes from the looks of the graphic they have barely completed 1/4 of it after all of that money spent, wow.
That’s about a $120 air fare today, so a billion buckadingdongs will bring you 8,333,333 flights, or roughly what the Biden administration figures will be necessary for next year’s illegals...
1 billion is only 1 thousand million.
So they need 100 billion extra for the choo choo. C’mon tax payers...Pay up!
