The first load of “humans” to send to the moon and Mars should be this planet’s illegal alien populations. Give them a chance to really “have a better life” and build one back better as Nikita Bidenchev says.

Someone pointed out that even though it was lost on the way down, the system has the capability of putting 200 tons in orbit as is.

And in contrast to SpaceX useless NASA with its 18000 employees and a $22 billion budget does nothing but propagandize us to live in caves and eat insects to save the planet, as if humans are not “the planet’ as well.

It was an impressive operation. As long as NASA doesn’t take control of the program, it is going to be a breakthrough in the story of humanity!

Of course, the ignorant boo-birds commenting on it, cheering the “failure”, flooded the chat lines. Nothing but a bunch of Luddite piss ants.

Got up early to watch it. AMAZING! No holds during countdown, ALL 33 ENGINES LIT, hot stage (separation of Starship from its Booster) was perfect, booster's engines apparently failed to reignite as it headed back towards Earth, Starship's flight lasted 40 MINUTES while MAINTAINING NOMINAL POSITIONING/FLIGHT PATH as it headed towards the Indian Ocean, Starship's heat tiles seems to have ENDURED THE PLASMA PHASE UPON DESCENT (MOST AMAZING VIDEO OF ENTIRE LAUNCH) but I'm guessing the craft was either destroyed shortly before touchdown or broke up during end of plasma phase..

BEST LAUNCH AND FLIGHT SINCE THE SHUTTLE!

Congrats, SpaceX !!!! You never fail to amaze.

Starship?

C’mon...We may go to the stars one day, but it won’t be with rocket ships.

Very impressive!
Looks like they fixed the engine damage and separation issues.
For sure it has enough power to reach orbit!
Re-entry looks like a software fix to keep things in the correct orientation.

Two questions...why did the re-entry burn not take place...and without a visual of the vehicle and no provisions for wreckage recovery, how will they determine the mode of failure?

I saw the msn post below and searched FR to find something newsworthy:

SpaceX Starship disintegrates in third test flight: The best photos

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/spacex-starship-disintegrates-in-third-test-flight-the-best-photos/ss-BB1jUwxY

It did not look like it was oriented properly for reentry, but the single camera view is less than helpful.
