Just what kind of question is that? Those weak assed bastards are fighting for their country and they will kill you using stand off weapons long before they roll over you. If Ukraine had Combined Arms, integrated Manuver, superior Air, Ground and Space like the US they might have held up better against all that Russian artillery, missile, & Air power. Russia has mastered combined arms warfare in Ukraine and they’ve got their Satellite, Air Surveillance, Counter-Counter EW and overhead night vison came on line for them in October or November 23.
I think though the NYT, the French, the Brits, Biden el at., all were quite vocal about Russia being so weak - you know they insulted the Russians with all those comments about only have shovels to fight with, no ammo, definitely no missiles, no computer chips, yada yada. Yea they went from 190k in the Spec Op and 380k total worldwide military forces in Russia to 1.1m today. I think they have 277k undergoing 5-6 combined arms warfare training at the Corps level who graduate in July/August - they’ve been turning out 300-350k every six months and they let their guys go home after two years into the reserves.
Biden knows and Zenlinski too that Russia with those shovels will have 2.1m under arms, organized into 4 independent 500k Army Corps in the middle of 2026 when the plan is to have boots on ground all across Ukriane ensuring no Bandaras are sporting SS tatoos. Russia still has 140k from the first of the year batch that came out of training men not yet committed to combat against Ukraine broken up into 30k, 40k groups just behind the front lines. We are in March, headed to April and May so all those fresh troops are going to be using shovels to exploit Ukraine.

Besides, Feburary was the first time since this war began that Russia has nearly matched Ukraine’s troop strength. You kinda getting the drift here. So I just told you about about another quarter million Ruskie’s coming out of 5-6 months training by August 2024... and there are going to 300k more in January/Febuary 2025. It’s just like the 70’s all over again. Freaking Russia is going to have 2-1 strength instead of 1-1 next summer; getting around to January 2026 another quarter mil, then July 26 another quarter Mil.
And Russia continues to show their weakness by using a 10-1 artillery advantage and shooting 5-10x the rounds. That ain’t slowing down, but presumably you knew how weak they were and still are. Yea, they just gonna hit Ukraine will stand off weapons, then they are going to roll up under fire across open areas in masses and then close with and destroy Ukraine in very-very much weapons defensive positions using their vaunted SHOVEL’S becasue they don’t have as much equipment as Ukraine and Ukraine has better equipment with NATO intelligence to back them up.
We were always told that if we had to go up against them our commanders expected we would all be killed. Airborne Infantry fighting the Ruskies is usually Mechanized. I would never underestimate anyone from any country in battle. Our usual battle scenario was to jump into a mountain pass, to try and hold it 24-72 hours or until follow on from the 10th Mountain or the 101st arrived. We were told if we didn’t hold our positions would be nuked. I don’t think my battalion ever once defeated the OFFOR in the Desert or Mountain training. We probably game planned it 15 times in Colorado, a dozen times in California, and up in Washington. The only time we had a chance was in winter warfare in forrests. They always overrun our positions with Mech Inf. Same with tanks and mech inf. Trasping around in the woods was the only time us bad ass paratroopers could hold them. You probably don’t have any idea of an infantry company with three mortors, two antitank missiles, some LAWs and all the hand granades.... Smoke was our friend. Most of the time we were just flat assed chased and hunted down in 70s. And the worst of it was our fast movers would fly 500 meters out and light up the area to our front. Leave it to Army to always make sure on the hottest days of summer to make sure put on our Chemical Warefare gear for 8-hours and do a forced march after simulated airborne spray of chemical agents, or bio, or after a nuke.

I was an optimist though, they said four or five guys might go unscaved and mayber a 15-20 wia’s and 140+ KIAs. I figured I be one the only ones to live thru it. Young and dumb; I thought I was invincible until I was 33. I never really considered I could die, until my knees started hurting after a 7 mile run one cold October morning.
That war in Ukraine was only stalemated because NATO had 8 years to build up strategic fortified defenses in depth, underground with tunnels going miles in some places. Now that Russia has mastered the FAB (Glide Bombs) with a range beyond their original 38 km (They have been using since November 80+ km glide FABs). Now with long range stand off 500 to 1,500 lb bombs those defenses only held 6-8 weeks of taking hits. Those weak bastards now have missile tube carrier that has 15-tube FAB missiles that can do the damage of 250 pounder from 120 km.
As for pension well sometimes you do so much a grateful nation can never repay you. I combined my military and foreign service into a single check. I worked for 6 different agencies, and my wife held a TS with Army and State. She had a nice job in Israel where she ran the Arrow Missile Program Field Office.
US Equipment is the best. But our troops are now woke and those wokesters are incapable of maintianing or mastering this equipment - we are gonna need a much bigger army to have the same combat capabilities using half-assed woke soldiers. Just like the the early 1980s, Russia has caught up to the US Equipment being phased out in Ukraine... well maybe they are more than caught up with both equipment and tactics. Today Russia has still not matched Ukraine’s troop strength, but in 26 months Russia will 3-4 times more men and new equipment than Ukraine will have it they can only field 500k.
I am calling Russia out and I am going to use a locomative Whistle from Ukraine that was blown off the tracks to tell you that all the stories in the West are fake when it comes to the Russian’s combat capabilities. I have a pretty good idea of weak those sinveling bastards are to be sure with only washing machine chips and shovels Ukraine will certainly kick their sorry asses all the way to Siberia.
In all seriousness I hope you have a clue now about what’s been going on and how it’s going to play out. To be fair about this whole thing, Ukraine has had the upper hand sitting in fortified cities and behind NATOs well build overlapping fields of fire fortifications to this point. The Ukrainians have had superior numbers starting with a 5-1 advantage in combat troops, and better trained units. But Ukraine had Joe Biden and Zielinski along with 31 other nations helping them... but Furher Zielinski would never let a single soldier retreat so just like the first furher in WWII, his troops are being slaughtered by overwhelming firepower from stand off weapons. Russia is simply maintaining constant contact all along the 650 mile frontlines looking for weakness and gently pushing and prodding and waiting for that exact moment when 3-4 differnt sectors collaspe before they get Ready to Roll.
