90% of the black electorate is going to vote for Biden in November, as they do every Democrat, no matter the candidates, the region/state, the mood of the country, whatever. If African-Americans made up a majority of the U.S. public, we’d have permanent one party ANC-style government.
A good friend whose grandparents came from Greece said his grandmother almost stopped taking to him, because he said at the dinner table that he was voting for Bush and not Dukakis. He relayed that in that community, it was like being a war criminal if you didn’t vote for Dukakis. It didn’t matter that the Greeks were proud Americans - he said his “Yaya” cried when PBS played the Star Spangled Banner before signing off like they did back in the day - it became a tribal thing in 1988.
Perhaps it is the same in other groups…the youths follow their elders - until they don’t.
Recall, Trump pardoned a lot of black dudes on his way out. He may have planted the seeds for, like with Dukakis and some Greeks, black youths to ditch the party of their parents.
But what if there is something rotten in City Voting Machines? There was a poll that rlmorel posted yesterday, from 2020 showing that the same general percentage of Republicans are concerned about “Election fraud” as were Dems about “Voter suppression.”
Broadly, the only difference here is terminology.
But here’s something to ponder: what if for DECADES the voting machines in “black districts” were rigged?
Does ANYONE find it odd that despite Trump’s massive appeal across ALL races, that the percentage of city vote going to the Dem is like a global constant?
Maybe the Dems are worried that snooping Republicans in search of quashing Election Fraud may find that their “concern” about Voter Suppression, is that Repubs find out that DEMS have been the ones suppressing the “black” vote.
