The way Johnson described his previous crimes rubbed many viewers the wrong way

JOE Rogan fans are baffled after his podcast guest was arrested for allegedly killing a man and dismembering his body.

Sheldon Johnson Jr. was hauled to jail on Thursday after cops found body parts at two different apartments in New York earlier this week.

Johnson had appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast just a few weeks earlier

Johnson, a convict-turned-activist, was escorted out of the 44th Precinct in handcuffs after he was charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.

Surveillance footage allegedly shows Johnson in several different disguises as he came and went from the crime scene after the murder.

He appeared on the massively popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast in episode 2,096, which was released on February 1.

The episode is titled Sentenced to 50 Years Sheldon Johnson Decided to Turn His Life Around.

Fans of the program were shocked to learn that Johnson was accused of the chilling crime.

Johnson, 48, appeared on the show to talk about his criminal past, which included robbing someone at gunpoint and assaulting them to steal their jewelry.

"A lot of red flags were going off in my head when I listened to that episode," wrote one person on Reddit, where users were discussing the arrest.

Johnson's lawyer, Josh Dubin, called his client "a miracle," adding that he was unfairly sentenced to two decades for a robbery that left his victims with only "two stitches."

However, some of Rogan's listeners said Johnson "downplayed" his actions.

"Pistol whipping someone during a robbery is a split second from armed robbery and murder," wrote one person.

"I didn't like this guest at all."

Fans rushed to the episode on YouTube to share their shock, with hundreds of comments pouring in after the arrest.

"Here we are 1 month later, he’s arrested for murder," one viewer wrote.

"Delete this episode," another person urged.

Dubin, meanwhile, is a recurring guest on the podcast but Redditors hoped the grim news would spell the end of his appearances.

"Hopefully that's the end of Josh Dubin coming on the podcast," wrote one person.

"Yikes, I find zero interest in Josh Dubin criminal justice reform-type episodes," wrote another person.

"You'd think somebody given a second chance would find a way to live life without murdering folks but unsurprising."

DISTURBING FIND

Johnson's arrest came after cops found a human torso and foot inside a blue bin in a sixth-floor Bronx apartment on Tuesday night.

Police had been called to the apartment for a welfare check when they made the shocking discovery.

A human head, legs, and arms were later found in a freezer in Johnson's Harlem home, Fox affiliate WNYW reported.

The victim, 44-year-old Collin Small, had been shot once in the head, the medical examiner determined.

Johnson was allegedly spotted on camera leaving the apartment wearing a blonde wig and several other disguises.

He is a well-known victim's advocate and worked as a staffer for the public law firm Queens Defenders.

Johnson was even acquainted with major players such as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Sources told the New York Post that Johnson may have had issues with Small while both were locked up in Sing Sing prison in Westchester County.

Neighbors told the NYPD that the victim could be heard pleading with his killer right before two gunshots were fired inside the apartment at 8 pm on Tuesday.

"Please don't," the victim reportedly said. "I have a family!"

Residents also said they saw a stranger coming and going from the apartment with cleaning supplies.

"I said, 'Listen, I want to do a welfare check on a tenant because the person who is coming in and out is not the tenant,'" the superintendent of the building, who did not want to be identified, told the outlet.

The super said he saw a man carrying a blue bin into the apartment at around 2 am and never brought it back out.

"He brought the bin...I told them, 'Why is he bringing a bin at 2 o'clock in the morning? He's bringing in a bin so late,'" he said.

"We tried to see if he took out the bin. He never took out the bin. I told them, 'Look for a bin.' And sure enough, it was there."

The suspect was seen leaving the apartment in the victim's blue Audi before returning in an Uber wearing a blonde wig, the super said.

"He is coming in, he is dressing differently, changing his character," he said.

"I said, 'That's not normal, he is hiding something.'"

Police checked on the apartment but left without arresting the suspect, according to the super.

Then he said Johnson asked to speak with him.

"I went back to the house and a neighbor called and said the guy is looking for me, he wants to talk to me," said the super.

"I said, 'I'm gonna go to him, I'm gonna ask him what he wants, then tell the police what he tells me.' That was the plan."

However, before the meeting could take place, cops returned and took Johnson in for questioning.

Investigators said they found concrete in Johnson's car and recovered a Tyvek suit.

During his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Johnson said he was sentenced to a maximum of 50 years for a series of robberies on men who owed him money for drugs.

However, after spending time in solitary confinement, Johnson said he wanted to change his ways and got his GED in prison while also taking conflict resolution classes to work on his anger.

Queens Defenders told The U.S. Sun that they have no comment at this time.

I don’t even know what to say.
I guess he no longer is a social justice activist…

Rogan has all these millions of viewers, but I’ve never watched him, and don’t think I’m missing anything.

I’m getting a bit of a Rear Window vibe in this one.

He’s better by leaps and bounds over any talking head on television, is truly independent of influence, draws his own conclusions that aren’t fed to him. His show is inform, interesting and entertaining.

He lets people answer without interrupting.
That alone makes him better than most.

He runs an old fashioned podcasts where he and guests sit around the table. It would depend on the topic, but he’s willing to discuss that topic fully for three hours. If you have the right guest, it would be very informative.

Rogan has done thousands of podcasts with long format interviews of many famous and not-so famous people. It’s an uncensored, any topic goes format. He’s red-pilled a large number of people.

I remember Rogan was attacked by CNN for taking a drug for COVID that is also used as a horse medicine. That’s the extent of my Rogan knowledge. At least I think that was Rogan.
Anybody that CNN attacks is ok in my book.

I say leave it up. People can watch it and look at someone in full-on deceit mode. Maybe people can learn a little bit about how smooth BS talkers look.
