CNN — President Joe Biden delivered his annual State of the Union address on Thursday. His statements were mostly accurate, a CNN fact check found, but he also made a smattering of claims that were false, misleading or lacking key context.
Biden repeated his familiar misleading boast about how he had supposedly reduced the federal budget deficit, failing to explain that the decline overwhelmingly occurred because emergency pandemic spending from President Donald Trump’s tenure expired as schedule. He falsely claimed that “not anymore” would big companies be able to pay no federal income tax, overstating the impact of the 15% corporate minimum tax he signed into law.
He misleadingly cited an alternative calculation from economists in his administration as if it was an actual federal tax rate paid by billionaires. And he left out context in discussing Covid-19 deaths, suggesting that far more deaths occurred during the Trump era than actually did.
Sen. Katie Britt of Alabama made few specific assertions of fact during her official Republican response to Biden’s address. But Britt did falsely say, in present tense, that inflation is at a 40-year low; it no longer is.

No- he made ,odds of false claims about what Trump did and wants to do as well as loads of lies about what he, obiden, has and is doing.
It was a typical liberal lie‐fest with lots of yelling, then whispering, then yelling again, all at the speed of sound as he did his little speed reading teleprompter marathon of lies.
Robert Hur got fact checked. The laughing hyena CNN anchors should keep in mind that Hur said Biden would present to jury as an elderly ( true), well-meaning ( false , should be “mean’ rather than well-meaning) who has trouble with his memory( when he wants to ?).Hur was the umpire that got sand kicked in s eyes. The focus politically should be on his lying , going back to Neil Kinnock, standing on stage at debate in 2020 “ character is on the ballot, the only guy that made money on China is this guy (Trump).” The gold star families continually told his son was killed in Iraq, etc., etc.”

Yes that absolutely was the goal- while he is truly feeble, he can still read a teleprompter, and that is what his handlers counted on- he was very likely pumped full of some kind of uppers (my guess is meth), or as one person,suggested, given a remotely controlled Pic line of a drug.
The proof seems to have been that he would start to fade, then all of a,sudden he would speed read again, while yelling, and act8ng angry and “tough”, then he would fade again, then another burst of energy- over,and over.
His speed reading was typical of someone hopped up on uppers of some kind, stimulants
The objective was to make it seem like he was “full, of energy, and able to go any length of time needed” and “to look tough, a d not physically compromised” like he has for 3 years now- it was,to assure the left that he is still capable and ease their fears that were caused by watching him deteriorate over the 3 years.
I su8spect that he will get a boost in ratings over this, as the xheeple will have had their fears calmed a bit- but the reality is that it very likely was drugs that propped him up for the hour- and he still can’t deliver off the cuff responses without a teleprompter. Everyone knows the left in power are hiding the reality of his condition from the public- I jusy hope the independent and some democrat public are smart enough to,realize that.
I wonder what meds/dope he was on... he was speeding and not his normal self.

Then show clips of Biden at the SOTU screaming about how inflation is down, and he created a trillion jobs, and Trump left office with a horrible economy.

Coming from CNN this analysis is scathing rebuke of Biden’s SOTU speech. I am shocked that CNN actually looked at facts for a change and committed a small act of actual journalism
