The Court holds that "[b]ecause the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the States, responsible for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse."

I take it that the decision does not address the fact that Trump has not been convicted of anything. Therefore even congress should not be able to act on this nonsense.
Time for a Trump Rally in Colorado.
“I take it that the decision does not address the fact that Trump has not been convicted of anything. Therefore even congress should not be able to act on this nonsense.”
Yeah, Colorado just skipped over the “due process” part of the Constitution, and just punish without ANY process i.e. charge, trial, conviction.
“Jena Griswoke is crying in her cheerios.”
I crack up every time I glance at a media screen and see the severe scowls on the faces there.
This real time constant political news is making it hard to keep up with my household chores.

CD1 in Maine is woke Democrat with some exceptions. CD2 is more rural and includes a lot of gun owners. That district is much more conservative.
CD1 has lots of transplants from NYC, Boston, etc. So does CD2 but not as many.
Watched a bit of ABC and CNN. Bobble heads were actually referring to Bidens re-election as OUR campaign.
They are no longer hiding their stripes or even trying to be journalists. They are partisans and helping their side.
Biden should be charged with campaign finance violations for not reporting in-kind donations from the media.
Snow? In Ellsworth, Maine we have had spring-like temperatures and the snow has all melted!
Good. My buddy from Maine is headed back there so he should be happy. We got about 18” in the foothills in Reno.
Agreed.
Barret is on shaky ground if she thinks this.
If they are suggesting that states may have a role in enforcing federal Constitutional laws, are they also admitting that states may have a similar role in enforcing Article I Section 8 rules of naturalization regarding illegal alien entry into their states?
So far, SCOTUS has been absolute in ruling that only the federal government can enforce immigration laws. I wonder how these three Justices square that with their fluidity regarding the 14th amendment Section 3?

"But nothing in the Constitution delegates to the States any power to enforce Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates."
SCOTUS got it WRONG! The States delegate powers to the fedgov through the Constitution! Powers not delegated by the States are reserved to the States (10th Amdt.).
States delegated the enforcement power to fedgov (Congress) via Section 3.
Should read:
"But nothing in the Constitution delegates14th Amendment reserved to the States any power to enforce Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates."
Words have meanings!
“The highest court in the land issued its decision per curiam, meaning that all nine justices agreed on a basic premise: Allowing a state to unilaterally take this kind of sweeping action would create chaos.”
The Democratic Party IS the party of CHAOS.
