It’s a shame they didn’t sign on to the majority. That would have been good for the country. Instead, they said they went too far and used their concurrence to write nasty stuff that will be used to further divide people. I’m disappointed in Kagan. Sotomayor and Jackson I expect it from.

“Not to toot my own horn, but this is the result I’ve repeatedly predicted in these pages. Doing otherwise would be a direct and immediate threat to the entire electoral system and end the Republic. Even the leftists in the court would not go there.”

Thanks for your input on this issue.

“Troubling in what way? “

Troubling in that the amendment clearly says congress can enforce the provision through legislation. To reject this as “limiting congress” is to suggest congress can enforce the provision by refusing to seat the president on a majority vote. The libs took the same position.

Today, the majority goes beyond the necessities of this case to limit how Section 3 can bar an oathbreaking insurrectionist from becoming President. Although we agree that Colorado cannot enforce Section 3, we protest the majority’s effort to use this case to define the limits of federal enforcement of that provision. Because we would decide only the issue before us, we concur only in the judgment.

They are already planning the next move.

Oh, just darn. Now how are we going to stop Trump if all the lawfare goes belly up?

Unfortunately, I can think of one way, but it would touch off CW II.

9-0 Decision means that the Dems will campaign on regaining the house and getting 60 Senate Seats to deal with Trump.

If they succeed at that in 2024, we have lost. And, DJT will be too old to run in 2028.

They were pulling this BS because DJT is running strong. They can campaign all they want, but with Biden leading the charge while wearing his adult diapers they will have no success.

It’s really a 5-4 decision in every way except the result.“

Now it makes sense. In order words they are telling the rats “try harder”.

Zero. That dog don’t hunt.

The focus now will be on rushing the criminal cases to trial.

McCarthy said that issue was dealt with in this decision. Congress can NOT use the 14 th to block Trump if he wins in Nov.

What is scary is the “respected” “very logical” “very thoughtful” judiciary in Colorado proved that they are a bunch of idiots.

I think the leftists realized if this went through the reverse could easily happen to them and pulled back. That is where the chaos in their minds might occur. They’re still happy to cheat their way to office however.

With the Republicans throwing Santos seat to the Dems, they probably have enough votes (all Dems + Squish Republicans) to block Trump from becoming President.

Their concurrence will be used to kick this over to Congress. They call Trump an insurrectionist.

This is a problem...Cook County traffic judges supersede the SCOTUS.

It is known...

LOL

Well that traffic judge got their 5 (not even 15) minutes of fame.

> What happens if state authorities decide to ignore this one? <

That’s not likely, but it is a good question. As the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, it would be Biden’s duty to send in the US Marshals to arrest the Colorado officials and restore order.

But Biden might just pick that time to mumble about the 10th Amendment (even though it doesn’t apply). Then he’d go take a nap.

And as for Colorado’s electoral votes, their validity would be decided by Congress, presided over by the exceedingly stupid Kamala Harris. So by golly, anything’s possible.

I don’t see any “teeth.” Where’s the teeth in this? What’s to stop other states banning Trump47 on the eve of the election?

Absolutely NOTHING. And they will do so, and claim it’s justified.

They can’t afford — in the literal sense — for Trump to be re-elected because he’s not so naive as he was in 2017. Fool me once, shame on you. Now he understands the depth of the depravity of the demoncrat party. He might smile that Cheshire cat grin but this time he’s in it for blood. He understands that America’s very existence will depend on him exposing their criminality. And expose it he will.

And that exposure will lead to imprisonment. Maybe even charges of treason (I can dream, can’t I?).

So the demoncrats MUST do whatever is necessary to prevent his re-election. Because the survival of the party and the freedom of a great many of its members depends on it.

If you think what they’ve been up to in the last 40 months was shocking. you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

So pray for peace but don’t stop sharpening your pitchfork.
