But isn’t it so great to have the “adults back in charge”?

yes, the current regime in WashingtonDC has hiked grocery prices by at least 31% (some prices on things we buy often are up 50 percent or more)

it may be part of the “population replacement plan” to starve out the existing citizenry (while importing millions of illegals from Communist China and every Islamic Krapistan on earth)?

naw, that’s just conspiracy theory

Carried it in two bags...

I remember my mom and dad being outraged at being able to carry $10 worth of groceries in only 2 bags. But this was the early 50s.

People on food stamps who have a family of four do get a max of 975 dollars a month. They aren’t hurt a bit. The rest of us are hurt.

My math may be off but 675 to 975 seems more than 31%. A $300 increase from 675 is more like 44%. I guess there are items in that group which for some reason they don’t count as part of their bureaucratic CPI.

Idiots can’t do math.

That’s NOT a ‘31%’ increase.

It’s a 44.6% increase.

I imagine people on government assistance just do not know how to shop.

I shop once a week and spend an average of $200.00 a week on groceries - both food and non-food items. For consumables , I use a list that is compiled by what we PLAN to have for meals, including leftovers.

As I shop, if I see an item on sale that is not on the list, especially non food items such as cleaning supplies, bath soaps, etc., I will add that item IFit is an exceptional deal.

Of course, I was born in the fifties, so most of us did learn how to shop frugally.

Eight to nine hundred bucks a month is average for today’s prices, regardless of how frugal you are. Those on the public dole need to quit buying TV dinners and other bagged meals and learn to COOK. They will find the 700 bucks will go much further. That, or they could get a job.

Bidenomics: Food stamp costs for a family's meal jump 31% over last three years...Food cost for family of four in 2021 was $675 a month: now it’s $975.90 monthly.

Hmmmm, higher food prices you say, hmmmmm, I wonder what WHO caused this?
