Typically if there was a breakdown in LE, the Sheriff would intervene. But Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez seems to be a lock-step Democrat liberal, so no help there.

The next bet would be if the governor would be willing to bail them out for their bad judgment by sending in the state police. Odds would favor them stewing in their own juices.

Well, such a liberal city should EMBRACE the crime. These criminals, who tend to be described as “an aspiring (non career) who was just turning his life around” can take advantage of the property of others “redistributed fairly” under the umbrella of “economic justice”. They can see what a liberal city will inevitable become. Chicago, NYC, L-A, and pretty much the whole of Venezuela lead the world in providing a guiding light showing us all what happens when those who want but don’t work Austin Police officers can ease into the role of professional report writers. The SWAT team is now “Social Workers And Therapists.”

While the rest of us see it as another cautionary tale, Austin residents can enjoy their utopian oasis if unbridled liberalism and its ultimate kind of equality….everyone is equally miserable.
