Death of shipping CEO Angela Chao under ‘criminal investigation,' Texas sheriff says

The death earlier this month of Foremost Group CEO Angela Chao, the sister-in-law of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, is currently under "criminal investigation," a Texas sheriff's office said Thursday.

Chao, 50, was found dead shortly after midnight on Feb. 11 after being pulled out of a car that had gone into a pond on a private ranch in Johnson City, Texas, about 40 miles from Austin.

"This incident was not a typical accident," the Blanco County Sheriff's Office wrote in a letter to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday.

"Although the preliminary investigation indicated this was an unfortunate accident, the Sheriff's Office is still investigating this accident as a criminal matter until they have sufficient evidence to rule out criminal activity," the letter said.

Since Chao's death has remained the subject of a criminal probe, the Blanco County Sheriff's public information officer told the attorney general that reports, 911 logs, audio and video evidence as well as other material should not yet be released to media outlets that requested them, including CNBC.

Some of us here on FR have been following this strange drowning of Angela Chao a few weeks ago... she being the CEO of the shipping company Foremost Group and the sister-in-law of Mitch McConnell.

When I saw the initial story about the incident I just assumed she deliberately drove her Tesla into the pond after getting an estimate for a battery replacement on the car. :-P

But Mitch and Ko Ko already absconded with the car, from what I heard.

It’s a bit of a side point. Or maybe it isn’t. But it’s seems to me that the only law enforcement agency you can trust these days is the local sheriff’s office.

I think you are correct and that is why I contribute every month to this state’s organization of sheriffs who use the money to train their deputies.

Others here may be able to comment on why this might now be a ‘criminal investigation’... or perhaps it’s not all that uncommon when its high profile etc.

Probably nothing more than her having information that could lead to the indictment of one Hillary Rodham. Please move along.

The Bernalillo County (NM) Sheriff’s Department is currently refusing to enforce our idiot governor’s Fascist fantasies.

The FBI reports to the president.
The State Police reports to the governor.
The City Police reports to the mayor.

The Sheriff reports to no one but the voters.

I like that. That doesn’t mean there are no bad sheriffs, because there are. But a sheriff is way less likely to be just a puppet of some powerful person.

Interestingly enough, New York City used to have five sheriffs, one for each borough. It was an elected office. But now there’s just one sheriff, appointed by the mayor. I wonder why they changed that.

Yes indeed- Mitch got the message from the sister in law Elaine’s sister “former CCP member” who happens to be CEO of Horizon shipping whose container ships largely have been built in chi-com shipyards.

We’ll hear nothing from Elaine Chao who was Trumps’ Sec. of Transportation (imagine that role in over sight of the DOT Maritime Administration and Admiralty Law. Incredible position to aid these Han thugs).

Nobody drives into a LAKE in the middle of Texas. No doubt a investigation we’ll never learn about, and the coroner’s toxicology labs....not available. Welcome to Communism and the ComIntern. Stalin lives.

And sometimes not even them; i.e. the Athens, GA sheriff.

With the car no longer in custody, they probably can’t determine if the software or hardware had been hacked and the doors wouldn’t open or the car respond to any of the driver’s commands while it drove into the pond.

Almost like the reporter driving in LA at a high rate of speed in his Mercedes which crashed, killing him, a few years ago, when he was trying to get out of the country via an airport.

software, and controllable. Another reason to drive Classic automobiles. Do get your point, so that our own derp state controlled by chi-coms can steer the end, and get Mitch to get out of the way for the next malleable “post”. And in Texas... to support Cornyn the moron?

The Texas Rangers would be safest to trust vs many other agencies including PDs, Sheriffs departments and Feds.

LBJ’s ghost did it.

;-)

His old ranch is in the Johnson City area. We have taken the guided tour—leftist propaganda but a nice ranch.
