Gallant: Hamas tunnels networks turned into traps for them

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited northern Gaza today (Thursday) and commented on the IDF's readiness to engage in an operation in Hamas' last stronghold in Rafah.

“We are closing in on Hamas. We are preparing to act in Rafah, as well as in the central camps, in order to reach the next stage which we will decide according to our priorities,” Gallant said.

He added, “We use the information we captured from the Hamas archives. There are huge amounts of information that we brought from the places we reached, computers, hard drives, servers and other things. All this information is decoded, it is used in order to destroy the tunnels and the nerve centers of Hamas."

Gallant also said that "the network of tunnels that Hamas built is now being used by us in order to dismantle the organization. They thought it would be their places of escape, and the places where they would fight - little by little it is turning into traps. You close in from one location, and then from another, and he either fights or comes out. What we said comes to pass: surrender or death. There is no third option."

“The result is very clear," Gallant continued. "Hamas is getting weaker with each passing day, we are getting stronger. We will go and tighten the rope around the neck of Hamas until we eliminate it. This war will not be stopped until Hamas is dismantled as a system and eliminated as an organization."

He said that the "only matter" in which Israel is willing to make concessions is in order to secure the release of the hostages...

I believe that there must be some of the hostages still alive being held in the tunnels of Khan Unis or Rafah on the border of Egypt.
I believe this because the IDF has stopped their advancement into this area.
They seem to have it surrounded and then stopped.

So, there must be a reason why they came to a halt. The IDF was steadily advancing and taking territory from Hamas up until about a month ago. Then they stopped. Why?

I have been following the war ever since October 7th. There were several new podcasts on YouTube.
TBN Israel gave daily updates by a IFF Reserve soldier named Yair Pinto.
There was another source that called themselves Raptor News. They would show a map of Gaza and then show the land that was controlled by the IDF and the land controlled by Hamas. It gave me a good idea daily how much territory was being taken.
They showed things like the hospital in GAza city that was surrounded on three sides by the IDF but Hamas still controlled the very center of GaZa.

Lastly, I also would watch Al Jazzera even though I knew they were biased towards Hamas because they literally had journalists on the ground in Gaza.
Some of which were people that were born there and lived there.

What I realized by watching all of them was how much of a joke the MSM really is. Who at best might have some correspondent broadcasting from the Marriott in Tel Aviv.

If people don’t know what the Sponge Bomb is let me try to explain.
It is basically a much bigger version of the cans of Spray Foam you can buy at the home centers used for filling gaps with foam insulation.

When the IDF finds a tunnel entrance they send robots and other devices to clear that end/entrance to the tunnel.
They may then insert smoke bombs to indicate other entrances to the same tunnel.
Then they will put a Sponge Bomb down the entrance to seal it off.
The Sponge Bomb blows up and expands to fill the last 20-30 feet of the tunnel so that the Hamas guys in the tunnel can not double back on them once they advance further.
In addition the bomb has a sensor in it that if someone starts chipping away at the foam they can detect it.

Genius
