Yes, Gender dysphoria is a mental illness. But there are "freaks." The study of teratology is the study of of freaks (monsters) who have been born screwed up. There are hermaphrodites with both sexual organs, chimera with part of their bodies with XX chromosomes and part with XY chromosomes, children with XXY and YYX chromosomes, children with two heads and separate personalities, et c. These should be treated with sympathy and understanding. But, these aren't the nuts that think they are of a different sex then that they were born.
