Can some people who know about legal proceedings tell me if the judge is in the tank for Willis? It sure seems so. He's letting witnesses stall endlessly, letting their lawyers object to every dang question, and hamstringing Merchant. He tells her a line of questioning is taking too long and she should move on, but it's only taking so long because the witnesses (Bradley at the moment) are playing word games!

Look at this comparison of Fani Willis' and Judge Scott McAfee's career timelines. It looks like Willis' career stalled out in the District Attorney's office while McAfee was a rising star who was advancing rapidly through the judicial offices of the state.
I don't think he's in the tank; I believe that McAfee has the superior career and the confidence of the Governor. I think he needs to let the players expose themselves so he doesn't get the brunt of the backlash.
Remember, it looks like the players are appealing to a jury, but it's the judge alone who will be deciding, and he knows what's going on.
