Israel has reportedly agreed to a framework for a new ceasefire deal with Hamas that would cease hostilities for six weeks in exchange for the release of up to 40 hostages.
An Israeli delegation led by Ronen Bar and David Barnea, the country’s two intelligence chiefs, returned on Saturday from negotiations in Paris with the US, Egypt and Qatar, boosting hopes within Israel for a deal.
According to local media reports, women, children, the elderly and hostages in dire need of medical help will be released in the new agreements.
Axios news website reported that hundreds of Palestinian prisoners will be released, some of whom have been convicted of killing Israelis, and that a limited number of Palestinians will be allowed to return to northern Gaza, while humanitarian aid will be significantly increased.

very stupid move- it should be all of them- and released immediately- hammas will go six weeks, then say ‘nope- we changed our mind’ while they were regrouping and rearming durign the 6 weeks of peace-

bibi should tell them “you either release all of the hostages now- or you will cease to exist! IF you release all of them, then we will cease fire for 6 weeks, and see how you act- if you attack us again- then the deal is off and again, you will cease to exist- We are done tolerating your nonsense and acts of violence against us! It's interesting how mere paragliders penetrated the world's most advanced border and defensive intelligence/technological apparatus, so Israel can respond disproportionately, because the real objective is to permanently remove the Palestinians so Israel/U.S. can get after those trillions of cubic feet of natural gas sitting off the coast.

I don’t doubt that the Biden WH is putting lots of pressure on the Israelis, but so far nothing about this has been reported in the Israeli newspapers. Some of the things Hamas would be given according to this article I don’t think the Israeli government ever would agree to.

There's a better way to target Hamas (who were formed by Israel to counter-balance the PLO, BTW) than to randomly bomb and kill innocent children.
