Years ago a city government passed a “waiting Period” law to keep people from committing suicide.
Several people tried to buy handguns but when they found they had to wait, they went home and killed themselves by other means.
The local Chief of Police was thrilled the law worked as none of them killed themselves WITH GUNS. But they were still just as dead.
Then there was another city that had several murders in one weekend. The Chief of police there immediately called for “MORE GUN CONTROL!” Yet none of the murders had been committed with a firearm.
Here’s an idea… Outlaw murder. Oh wait…
