Youare just the person —my father was an avid sci fi reader....lots of paperback stuff—complete novels and story collections, etc.... There was a story complete with illustrations about the developement of warbots—manned and perhaps later un manned machines that were not unlike the later Star Wars manned war bots...

This story came out in the 60s and was part of a collection of storys. There were “magazines back the day that had several stories featuring up and coming sci fi writers, etc.

Perhaps you remember the story and could point me in the direction as to its title and writer.

Is Kanopy only educational films or do they have movies? What about old television programs?

Kanopy has all sorts of content - movies, TV shows, documentaries, etc. I recently rewatched the classic comedy Miracle of Morgan's Creek on Kanopy, for example. You get 10 "credits" a month, so it's not unlimited, but it's free via your library system (assuming they subscribe) and there are no commercials.

If you like to edumacate yourself with podcasts..... I was listening to one on AI this morning as I was out walking. Then get these podcasts from YouTube with that 4k program.

Then load them onto the podcast area of a Sansa Clip 8gb MP3 player. The advantage is that the Clip remembers/bookmarks where you left off on a long podcast. When you go back to that podcast later/ It will resume where you left off/ It will also shuffle (if you like) tunes that you load into the Music area.
