Perhaps, but we have people that we vote for that are supposed to be representing us, and they are failing miserably and have been for quite some time. I doubt that the GOP thinks they're failing, though, as there are too many that appear to be perfectly fine with what is happening to the country. They just can't admit that because it would be the end of the GOP (and maybe it should be).

No-one know the future, but if you look at South Africa, which is already into a competence crisis collapse, some white enclaves have built entirely stand alone infrastructure - electricity, water, sewage that are separate from centralized systems.

These enclaves are also far enough away from the urban mobs that it’s too far for Kunta Kinte and Chaca Zulu to drive with their limited attention span / high time preference.

The central authority of the USA is starting to erode.

The State of Texas pushed back against Biden’s open the border order, asserting their own Constitutional authority.

And do far, Biden has done nothing in response.

My view is the States like Texas and Florida should just keep pushing back against this stuff. And see where it goes.

At the same time, they need to be looking at what they will need short and long term if a Secession crisis gets worse.
