ATT is currently proposing to eliminate its landline service here in California.

I’ve been getting monthly letters urging me to switch over to something called AT&T Advanced. Half the monthly charge, free nationwide long distance, same phone number, etc, etc, But when I go to the website to look at the details it looks as if I have to plug my phone lines into a new device that pretty much works like a cell phone. Cell coverage here is spotty at best. But I’m thinking sooner or later it will no longer be voluntary.

Anything “they” are trying to get you to do is in their, not your, interest.

A cell phone signal booster may help your reception.

And you’d be right about that. The world that many of us have seen coming —a world in which our activities are either compulsory or prohibited— is upon us.
