But if appealing to the SCOTUS requires appealing through the NY court system, Trump will be broke, with a good chance he pays the fine anyway. I have ZERO faith the court system, even the SCOTUS, is going to come to Trump’s rescue.

Trump aside, they can find anyone guilty of fraud with a bond so astronomically high that no one can possible appeal.
A trillion dollar fine for a $40 Ebay sale and you are screwed without recourse.

Where do I donate? There's 74 million patriots who voted for him. I can cough up $6.00. Heck, I'll send him $30 and cover four others.

Shouldn’t the figure be Eleventy-Skadillion? You treat this with all the seriousness it deserves.
The court is ridiculous, the judgement is ridiculous, and they might as well have said a trillion.
Nobody should take this seriously, and the judge needs to get his mouth beaten in with a baseball bat.

I’m not convinced an appeal will overturn the decision.
Me neither. Why should anyone believe the appeals courts aren't corrupted as well?
With this level of third world totalitarian corruption, even Perry Mason wouldn't stand a chance getting Trump off the hook.
To: P.O.E.
My bet is that is what will happen to Trump Tower if the court takes over management of it.

If he has to mortgage a property to get a loan, wont that be the whole reason for the civil suit against him?
To: CatOwner
I still have faith in SCOTUS, at least as it stands now. (And individuals in the NY court system will be forgotten, but the Supremes will have to contend with History.)

He can take it to the federal level without paying NY anything. I would think so, but with the likely Democrat appointees running the New York federal districts, he may not get anywhere with those incompetent liars either.
He may have to get to the supreme court to get this fixed.

The bad part is, he will have to liquidate his holdings in
order to cover that bond.
This should all be put on hold until after all appeals have
been settled.
How can anyone appeal in a case like this. Trump would
be partially destroyed, in order to defend himself.
That’s not right. Not arguing with your thoughts.

Let’s be honest. Trump will never have to pay. It’s his heirs who will, unless he lives a really, really long time. I don't think Trump or his heirs will ever pay them anything. I think the corrupt idiot judge and corrupt idiot prosecutor will have to pay, and I think New York State will have to pay dearly for frightening the sh*t out of every real estate market in their state.

Arty Egomoron and his ghettopotamus girlfriend need their thieving asses thrown in jail. After getting their teeth beaten out with a baseball bat. These people deserve to be physically hurt.
These are Nazi judge and a Nazi prosecutor.

Trump has crappy lawyers. It should never have gotten this far, so I suspect his lawyers have no idea how to deal with the verdict. Yes, a better lawyer would have made the corrupt lying idiot Judge rule fairly.
Nazi judge, Nazi verdict. Lawyer wouldn't have made any difference.

Before it gets to the supremes, he still must post the bond.

Trump is a much nicer and more tolerant guy than I am.
Were I in his position, I’d have long ago done a modified version of “Wyatt’s Torch” combined with a D’Anconia San Sebastian Mines scheme on my NYC properties.... And made New York pray that I don’t go Ragnar Danneskjöld on them too.
To: joesbucks
Before it gets to the supremes, he still must post the bond. No he doesn't. There are obvious federal violations. The fifth amendment is violated, the eight, the 14th.
He has a lot of grounds for a federal lawsuit against these shitty people.
