There was a time when I could concern myself with the well-being and virtue of other nations. It was in those days, not so very long ago, that ours was a nation of laws, with leaders who had its best interests at heart and who, more or less, abided by our Constitution and at least tried to do right by America.
But that time has passed.
Today we have a political class, legal system and press that prioritizes political power and profit above such mundane matters as fidelity to the Constitution, public safety, and prosperity of their fellow citizens. In the power centers of our nation's capital and major cities, our political class now has a majority coalition of leftist ideologies, cultural Marxists and cynical establishment pols feeding on the carcass of our once-great nation.
Our legal system in the capital and major cities has been hijacked to the service of that political class and notions of equal protection and fidelity to the people’s law be damned.

I’m told that Navalny and his political movement are the victims of persecution and oppression by Russia’s president, security services and legal system, while I see our own president, legal system and security services violate our laws to jail and destroy their political opponents, great and small, by the thousands -- all the while encouraging the criminality of their fellow travelers.
So forgive me if I seem insufficiently concerned over the death of Alexei Navalny, may he rest in peace.

When Gonzalo Lira was arrested and imprisoned, people like you were laughing, and when he finally died in prison, the Zeepers were gleeful.
Unlike Navalny, he was an American citizen.
No-one from the Biden Administration has ever said a word about what happened to Lira.
Biden and the Zeepers weep over a Russian like Navalny, and use it to say how bad Putin is, but they don’t care when Americans like Lira are harmed by the Kiev Regime.

This report of Navalny’s death by Putin is suspicious because Putin had long had Navalny neutralized in prison, so why kill him now? There is so much skullduggery in the world today that it’s impossible to know who is doing what to whom. What we do know for certain is that the Biden-Obama traitors are destroying America and no one is stopping them.

He was in prison for years and not much of a threat to Putin’s leadership at this time. Makes me wonder what purpose there was for Putin to kill him right now? He may have, but why? Who benefitted most by Navalny’s death at this time?
It could be Putin just showing off. A lot of dissenters and dissidents have been killed. But I suppose there could be other theories.
But then again, I've been told Putin is near death from cancer, Parkinson's, etc al.

He probably was murdered and that would indicate Putin is prepared to be even more ruthless.
Putin got where is because he is ruthless.
Russian forces have recently shown the ability to overcome Ukrainian defenses over many miles.

Being Saturday and a messy day out side I’m covering the waterfront (internet) and found this quote among longer story:

and all of a sudden all kinds of thoughts go through my mind.
