Daffodils are such cheerful little flowers. I had some really nice ones a few years ago, but with the lack of rain for 3 years in a row, the last time they bloomed, the blossoms were minuscule. Very sad little things.

You will have some to cheer you for quite a while. Have you re-planted some at the new house, or were they already there?

They’re very cheerful. And they’ve hybridized s many gorgeous varieties over the years. I didn’t think about getting more at the right time. It’s been so long since I ordered anything from Breck’s, I forgot they ship in the fall. I’ll have to remember to order some later for next year.

No, I haven’t planted anything over here. There’s a bed along the front of the house between the sidewalk and the wall of the house but there was a huge fire ant colony under the sidewalk with openings all along it on both sides. No way I was digging in that bed! I think we finally killed them off because I didn’t see any ants last summer so maybe I’ll try prepping that bed this spring.

There’s a bed in the back yard with irises and daylilies.
