I've known children of the Great Depression who did that, but I can't recall people of high importance like the District Attorney of Atlanta who would do something like that.

Except maybe Senator Menendez of New Jersey who sowed his cash inside his clothing, or William Jefferson who kept his cash in his freezer.

My Mom kept a lot of cash on hand. As in, around $500. Someone keeping 10K+cash lying around is, at a minimum, stupid.
