DC has become a Mad Max compound, complete with barbed wire and concrete and steel barriers. It’s guarded by national guardsmen with no ammo in their magazines and populated by fat, middle-age women in the bureaucracy who hate guns and can’t figure out which bathroom to use.
DC is a farce and a clown show, protected by Alinsky’s rule No. 1:
“Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.”
I worked in D.C. for 45 years and even had an apartment there for a short time. Loved the city and its history. I have been retired for four years and there is NO WAY I would go back there now. A jogger was murdered for no reason near my office, and a few blocks away, someone was murdered in a car jacking. I used to jog through Lafayette Park to the White House and around the Washington Monument at least three times a week. These days, I wouldn’t walk down the block. It’s tragic. I really did love that city.
