I believe that if the Egyptians and Israelis work together, they can discern the more dangerous Gazans for appropriate handling. Most of all, the women and children become de facto hostages of a sort for the Israelis, while their safety in refugee camps deprives Hamas of human shields. The end of the Gaza War seems likely to be lots of dead Hamas fighters, some surviving as POWS, and a string of refugee camps full of widows and orphans. Then will come lots of dickering over what happens to them and the ruined moonscape of Gaza.
