Rinos in Tennessee are trying to deny President Trump access to the ballot and all electoral votes from Tennessee.
Laura Loomer - X ^ | 2/13/24 | Laura Loomer

The bill would go into effect immediately after being signed, and it would “BAN Presidential electors from the state of Tennessee from casting a vote for any presidential or vice presidential candidate whose eligibility for office is in question or doubt at the time of the vote, and until such time as the candidate has been properly investigated and cleared of any reasonable doubt.”

The bill was introduced by a REPUBLICAN as communist secretaries of state across the country are trying to remove President Trump from the ballot.

The bill has already passed in the TN Senate on first consideration, and now it’s in House, waiting to be reviewed by the elections subcommittee. From there, the bill will go straight to a vote, which could be any day now.

That’s my conclusion as well after actually reading the text of the bill. Post title is misleading

(A) The person is of the requisite age;
(B) The person is a natural born citizen of the United States; and
(C) The person has been a lawful resident of the United States for
the requisite period.

Unless I missed it, it doesn’t say anything about alleged acts of insurrection.

This looks like an anti-Obama law.

Laura Loomer is wrong about this Bill. Here is a link to the text: https://www.capitol.tn.gov/Bills/113/Bill/SB2838.pdf.

From the proposed legislation:

(3) President and vice president. In accordance with and in
furtherance of the requirements under the United States Constitution, Article II,
each candidate must provide authentic, documented proof of meeting the
requirements of these offices before the person can be placed on a ballot within
this state, including proof of the following:
(A) The person is of the requisite age;
(B) The person is a natural born citizen of the United States; and
(C) The person has been a lawful resident of the United States for
the requisite period.

(4) Presidential electors...
(B) Effective immediately upon the adoption of this act,
presidential electors for this state are prohibited from casting a vote for
any presidential or vice presidential candidate whose eligibility for office is
in question or doubt at the time of the vote, and until such time as the
candidate has been properly investigated and cleared of any reasonable
doubt.
(C) Candidates or electors who knowingly attempt to secure
these offices by providing false or misleading information in order to
appear on the ballot, must be immediately disqualified from the election,
prohibited from seeking any political office in the future, and investigated
for an act of sedition or subversion against the people of the United
States

* * *

The legislation prohibits and elector from casting a ballot for POTUS or VPOTUS if the candidate fails to provide proof of eligibility under Article II of the United States Constitution — age, natural born citizenship, and residency. It does not reference the Sedition Clause in the 14th Amendment directly or indirectly. The legislation clearly defines natural born citizens and naturalized citizens, dand distinguishes the two types of citizenship with respect to eligibility under Article II.

THE CLEAR PURPOSE OF THE LEGISLATION IS TO KEEP THE LIKES OF HALEY, HARRIS, AND OBAMA OFF THE BALLOT — NOT TRUMP.

Laura Loomer owes a big apology to the so-called RINO who introduced the proposed legislation.

I live in TN.

The voters are deep red, but the Legislature is infiltrated by RINO traitors.

You know, the RNC and GOP leadership have been very, very clear about not allowing Trump to be the nominee.

The GOP is a private organization without a constitutional existence. They can do whatever they want.

Why don’t you believe them?

You are making an important point that is repeatedly missed by many (most?) on this site. Those who talk of "RINO this" and "RINO that" just don't get it. At this point, those who identify as "America first" "conservatives" are the true "Republicans in name only."

The Republican party hates its own constituency. Pure and simple.

Why the heck are they doing this when this very issue is before The Supreme Court? And if the Supreme Court rules as we think ,that would override this sort of action, wouldn’t it?

RINOs gotta RINO.

Reading the bill it does appear to be aimed primarily at the Anchor Babies desperately trying to rule the gringos.

There are a couple of paragraphs that could be exploited the way Loomer alleges. It’s important to recognize such things as the Left ALWAYS tries to redefine terms and expand the scope of any law to mean something totally different.

So it does appear to have good intentions, but with flaws. I don’t know anything about Nicely, is he um...nice?

Thank you for posting the actual text of the bill.

It, and its sponsor, are being misrepresented ... defamed, even ... in Miss Loomer’s tweet. People should read it before commenting.

But they won’t.

“Tennessee Republicans for Biden.”

You mean like Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, both of whom voted to certify a fraudulent election and help install Biden as POTUS?

From Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Niceley):

“Statements and controversies
2009
In 2009, Niceley was one of four Republican members of the Tennessee House to announce plans to join a legal action to force President Barack Obama to release his birth certificate and prove his citizenship.[3][4]

2012
During a Tennessee House committee hearing in February 2012, Niceley declared that coyotes had been introduced to Tennessee by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) for purpose of controlling the wild deer population, but had subsequently become pests that attack livestock. This allegation was investigated by PolitiFact Tennessee. PolitiFact determined that coyotes had arrived in the state naturally, without any involvement by the TWRA. Stating that Niceley had repeated an “urban myth” that had been debunked previously, PolitiFact characterized his statement as a “real howler” and categorized it as “Pants On Fire”, indicating a statement that “is not accurate and makes a ridiculous claim”.[5]

2017
Niceley rejects mainstream views of climate science. At a December 2017 meeting of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), he told E&E News reporter Zack Colman: “I think the whole premise that carbon dioxide is a pollutant is flawed. It’s not a pollutant, it’s just as natural as oxygen. The trees and plants depend on CO2 just the same way we depend on oxygen.”[6]

2022
While speaking in favor of a bill that would make camping on any public property punishable by a $50 fine, Niceley cited Adolf Hitler as an example of someone who worked his way out of homelessness to “lead a life that got him in the history books.”[7][8]”
