Not sure why Trump hates NATO. I would urge him to stay in NATO and ensure that all members pony up their fair share and take care of their own back yard.
It’s the UN and WHO we need to withdraw from. And any other organization that actively works against American interests.

Trump doesn’t hate NATO he just made them pay more of what they had agreed to pay.
They're not going to pay their fair share. Why would they? They've had a free ride for so long.
Trump took us out of WHO...Biden reversed it.
Why do WE need NATO. Are they going to send troops to the US if China invades us? I mean to help us fight, not take their share of the booty? Eff them, Europe in general is anti American and doomed to being overrun by Africans and Mohammadens. If we take the time to secure our country, they can drift off into the New Dark Ages, and we can be safe and secure at home. WE DON’T NEED ANY OF THEM to live a good life.
He doesn't hate NATO. He hates that the European countries are not paying their fair share for us to keep our military there to protect them. A contract was made but some (maybe all) did not hold up their end of the contract.
This is about money. If we pulled out of Europe, they would have to build their own military's up which would cost more than having us there.
