..... Now that the Fast Food Workers have basically priced themselves out of a job ..... The first order of the Union will be to minimize or even halt the cost saving Automation intended to replace the fast-food workers jobs which will then, in turn, force the employers to further replace the workers with more automated machines.

Oh they will listen, to the humming of automation while you sit in your mommy and daddys basement with out a job
I tried my hand at restaurant automation but unfortunately the companies themselves are developing and manufacturing the equipment so the small shops can’t get their foot in the door. Otherwise that’s exactly what I would be doing.
It’s being done, as is large-scale robotic farming.
Employers be like “Hey, Buddy, I gotcher ‘living wage’ right cheer!” tug-tug.
I predict (IF Pedo Joe doesn’t bring on WW3 in the next 10 months+) advanced robotics/AI will replace HALF the “fast food”/service industry and much of “the trades” by 2030. It will go below 5% the next.
I mean, SOMEOne has to keep those robots supplied with substrate (seed, burger, lumber, brick and mortar, steel, etc.
Bidenflation has already made fast food an occasional luxury with its prices. Imagine what unions and living wages will add to that.
