I think the topic was touched on in the Supreme Court hearing today: Harris can be vice-president but cannot assume the office of president. So maybe they sneak in Newsome. I’m going to listen to the hearing today where they talked about constitutional eligibility.
Well if Harris isn’t allowed to be POTUS and Joe is removed, either by 25th, by fate or by Democratic martyr operation then we’d get Pres. Johnson. We could live with that for a few months. But, if that scenario were ever to become likely the natural Rat response would be for Harris to resign and for Dementia Joe to nominate preferred sub as VP for Senate confirmation, prior to Joe leaving. If they’re unable to pull that off, look for sudden deaths in the House GOP ranks enough to make Jeffries the new Speaker and surprise President.
President Mike Johnson...

Too late to try to bring this up now!!
She HAS to be 'eligible' because the VICE president must be eligible to be president!
The Twelfth Amendment explicitly states the constitutional requirements as provided for the president also apply to being vice president and the Twenty-second Amendment bars a two-term president from being elected to a third term, but it is unexplicit whether these amendments together bar any two-term president from later serving as vice president as well as from succeeding to the presidency from any point in the United States presidential line of succession.[21]
Some contend that the Twelfth Amendment concerns qualification for service, while the Twenty-second Amendment concerns qualifications for election, and thus a former two-term president is still eligible to serve as vice president.[22]
Some legal scholars propose the contention above would inadequately consider the opportunity it affords for one to serve as president more than two terms plus "[acting] as President, for more than two years," resulting in a violation of the Twenty-second Amendment.[23][24]
The interaction between the two amendments has not been tested, as no twice-elected president has ever been nominated for the vice presidency.
