If anyone wants to read Jonathan Turley’s play-by-play thoughts on the hearing, you can read it here:

Note: It’s in reverse order, so scroll to the bottom and read up to the top.

During oral arguments, Chief Justice John Roberts fretted about the possibility that upholding the Colorado ruling would open the door to red and blue states removing politicians of opposing parties from the ballot on a whim.

“It’ll come down to just a handful of states that are going to decide the presidential election. That’s a pretty daunting consequence,” Roberts said.

Well, no kidding.

MY guess is that they are afraid that red states will turn around and use their tactic against them.

They don't care about the Constitution or real justice, just what they can get out of it.

1) Colorado had NO CASE. In fact, these TDS based determinations and rulings attempting to ripple Trump actually make him far stronger. Thank you numb nuts Colorado.

2) Trump’s presser was fantastic, Presidential, confident and again making demented joe look weak and frail.

I liked Alito’s question to Murray along the lines of:

“If a President gave money to a foreign country (unstated, but referring to Iran) would that be enough for a state to remove him from the ballot?”

This particular case is a slam dunk Trump, because otherwise both sides are going to start kicking the others off all the ballots everywhere. The same provision lists “aid and comfort to our enemies as a disqualifier also”. Everything the Democrats have done in my life time meets that qualification to have ALL Democrats removed from the ballot everywhere.

This is why the supreme court will rule in Trumps favor.

Time has shown that predicting how SCOTUS will rule based on anything but the final ruling is foolish, and often wrong.

Most of the Judges are hyper-political and vein, especially Chief Justice Roberts, who is more worried about "the reputation of the institution" instead of its Constitutionally defined function.

The Democrats will look for another way to disqualify him. Remember the student loans.

Write this down.

Put today's date on it.

And it was me you heard this from.

Just because SCOTUS told them to doesn't mean all the states will do it.

Because they know a Trump47 will put many tens of thousands of them out of their phoney-baloney jobs. And hundreds of them in jail.

Because you always can tell what larceny the demoncrats have in their hearts is because that's what they'll be accusing the Republicans of. And right now it's not the RIGHT who are the insurrectionists, it's the LEFT.

I doubt SCOTUS wants to open that can of worms - and would prefer not to interfere in the election process.

That said, I’m not holding my breath, I think this could go either way.

Which Justices?

I’m not sure now that John Roberts will decide the right way. It depends on which side of the bed he wakes up on.

I hate titles like this. It has always been an omen to state what the USSC will do before they do it. Sometimes it seems like they rule the opposite just to spite others telling them what they will do.

Here is a what if question.

SCOTUS says Trunp has to be on the ballot, but the states don’t issue ballots with his name on it. Biden gets elected again. What happens?

Do not want 9-0, that will be a procedural decision worded to keep Trump on the ballot everywhere but tossing taking Office once Trump has won to Congress.

The problem there is the marxists will go all-in on stealing the House, applying their outrageous 2018 Kalifornia steal nationwide.

This would satisfy Roberts to no end, who pretends to 'steer a middle course' but enjoys the deep division between Americans and marxists, because without it he would have to act like a goddamn judge instead of a 'seer'.

Instead you want Sorosmayor as a holdout so Kagan and DEI make it 6-3. That gives Alito latitude to quash Colorado outright but also make inroads into Jack Smith's calumny.

There was no decision today, but it’s interesting to me that so many outlets are reporting that the supremes will overturn the Colorado decision to keep PDJT off the ballot... when the supremes haven’t even ruled yet, and won’t until summer.

The fact that this decision was announced before it has even been decided has me wondering what is up?

I guess SCOTUS didn’t buy the RATs’ argument of “because Trump is a poopy head”.
