Biden torched for claiming that he recently met with dead former President of France: 'Not a healthy sign'

President Biden is being criticized online after he claimed that he met with Francois Mitterrand, the former president of France who passed away roughly 30 years ago.

Biden told an audience in Las Vegas on Sunday about a meeting he had with French President Emmanuel Macron during a G7 meeting in England after he had already assumed the presidency.

"I sat down and I said, ‘America’s back,’" Biden recalled. "And Mitterrand from Germany – I mean from France – looked at me and said…"

François Mitterrand was France's president between 1981 and 1995. He died in 1996.

Biden appeared to trail off before collecting his thoughts to finish the sentence: "Well, how long are you back for?"

Biden was mocked for his flub online, with politicians and commentators asking what was wrong with the president.

"Was Biden the kid in The Sixth Sense?" Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas., jokingly asked, referencing the 1999 horror movie.

Show host Graham Allen said that Biden's mistaken claim that he met with a dead French president recently was "not a healthy sign."

Popular X account Libs of TikTok wrote that the clip was a sign of "elder abuse."

*** Biden's comments came while he was warning of the dangers of a potential second Trump presidency ahead of Tuesday’s Democratic primary in Nevada.

The president continued, saying the "Chancellor of Germany" asked him how he – and by extension, the U.S. – would respond if, hypothetically, thousands of people stormed Britain’s House of Commons and killed two "bobbies," or British police officers, to stop the election of a Prime Minister.

The Hill later flagged that the White House, which posted Biden's comments online, released the speech with the name Mitterrand crossed out and replaced with Macron, the current president of France. ***

At least he didn’t say Napoleon.

Looks like they are getting ready to dump Dementia Joe.

Timing is everything.

The closer to the election the better, it deprives us of the ability to fully vet the darling designated democrat savior before voting starts.

What's the closest to the election that they could slip in a substitute candidate?

Does it have to happen before the party names this year's candidate?

Before ballots are printed?

Before mail in ballots are sent out, or???

Suppose biden is deposed or dies on 11/4, does the election still happen on 11/5?

If dead people can vote democrat why couldn't a dead democrat win? I think they allowed a dead senator's wife take his place. President Doctor Jill Biden, anyone?

Yes. On Election Day, you are voting for Presidential Electors pledged to vote for their party's presidential and vice-presidential nominees when the Electoral College meets in December at their respective state capitals.

Should either nominee not be in the position of serving, the party's national committee will send registered letters to their Electors notifying them of a change in the ticket. This actually happened in 1872.

One thing about this Regime, they are a lot better at gaming an existing system than they are at improvising and innovating on the fly.

We saw that with corona, when it took them months to figure out if masks and travel bans were racist or “Science”.

So if they have to scramble to replace Dementia Joe - that’s not what they are good at and we may see some real entertaining fails as they try.

My mom had that grace as well — smiled all the time — the last five years or so (passed away at 102).

The Economist agrees with your analysis—as do I btw:

https://www.economist.com/briefing/2024/01/04/joe-bidens-chances-do-not-look-good-the-democrats-have-no-plan-b

The article shows just how crazy the Democrats would be to replace Biden at this point—no matter how bad a shape he is in....they are better off pushing propaganda and trying to bluff their way through....

If Biden keels over and dies, or becomes permanently bedridden, they will have to do something.

Someone on TWTR connected to Democrat activists who knows Progressives says they will not ditch Biden because Kamala is worse, and they can’t ‘diss blacks by passing her over.

If Kamala dies maybe something will happen. Failing that they are stuck with Biden.

They always have “election fortification”. But the margin is bigger now, and they would have to resort to Regime-Legitimacy collapsing levels of fraud - or their own Operation Valkyrie.

Yep. And he’ll have a female VP on the ticket. Oh, and an endorsement from Taylor Swift. Did you know her boyfriend is a football player?

Joe is shot. The party knows that. All this BS of him running for president is just for show. The party will shove Kamala out of the way one way or the other. Then they will bring in Newsome for “the good of the country”.

Joe in exactly the same as he was 30 years ago. He’s just more visible. They covered all his stupid lies, plagiarism, and fairy tales back then. Second half of the 1980’s.

You'd never know it by this pic of Joe and Jill, but Joe Biden is actually resigning in disgrace from the presidential race.

In September 1987, Biden announced he was dropping out of the presidential race since he had been caught uttering words as his own that he had plagiarized. The New York Times observed: “His whole life might have changed if he had said two words on the debate stage: ‘Like Kinnock …’

Biden’s benign facial expression, and aggressive body language, suggests he wants people to think, it's not his fault he is a plagiarist. Too bad he got caught. He's already plotting his next run.
