But why were the police at this particular storage unit? They don’t say. “Information received” is the likely explanation.

Or, rent ran out on the locker. Owner, after attempting to contact the renter, breaks the lock on the unit as a precursor to selling the contents, finds container filled with concrete, calls the police.

Occasionally when you are buying distressed properties you can run into something similar. I have never found anything more alarming then a freezer with a couple of dead cats but you do hear stories.
