MOSCOW, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Russian investigators said on Thursday they had evidence showing that Ukraine's military shot down a Russian Il-76 military transport plane last week with U.S.-made Patriot surface-to-air missiles.
Among the fragments were serial numbers with English acronyms, including "CONFIDENTIAL classified by PATRIOT SECURITY CLASSIFICATION GUIDE DATED: 9/22/83 ADDENDUM DATED 11/28/83 8/8/84 CONTRACT NO/DAAH01-86C-A018'," the committee said in a statement.
"The fragments seized from the scene, according to their design features, geometric characteristics and available markings, are structural elements of the MIM-104A anti-aircraft guided missile of the Patriot complex of the United States, developed by Raytheon and Hughes corporations and manufactured by Raytheon," the committee said.

‘Hmmmm, what we have here is two great sources of nothingness: Russia and Reuters. ‘Twould be difficult to choose the least trustworthy, but we know it would be close.”
I’m with you, CNN is THE BEST!!!
Easy to fake, since they had the prisoners’ bodies to dismantle before burying them. Since Moscow wouldn’t let any independent investigators see the site, Ockham’s Razor says faked.
And we had LOTS of evidence of Russian materiel killing our troops in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.
You think the whole world AND Russia honor Nazis in their news? That’s a very unique point of view.
Puzzling to me. Don’t we furnish Ukraine with weapons? What is so peculiar about using them?
Naa, none of the above. Most likely the Patriot operators (from whatever country sent them) simply didn’t get the word on the prisoner exchange and so took down an easy target over Russia. One of the things that points to this mistake were the celebratory tweets that immediately went out by Ukraine’s military...only to be deleted once word came down as to who was on board.
“”I am not clear on why Russia would get worked up over this.””
I have said over the years - I WILL READ every reply before I put in my two cents. I didn’t do it this time either. I’m with you....what’s so odd about them using what we’ve given to them to use?
It's not necessary.
All American Democrats, Liberals, RINOs, GOPe, NeoCons, Woke Military and Zeepers can read Putin's mind, past, present and future, and keep us informed on what he's thinking and planning.
Many photos from the crash site, include clear photos of large pieces from a MIM-104A Patriot missile - some with clear markings of its manufacturer (Raytheon), nomenclature, date of manufacture and contract number. Russians have also collected body parts and collected DNA samples to identify the dead from both countries, and has said it will turn over to Kiev all that pertains to the Ukrainian POWs.
I recommend watching foreign news.

Agreed. Remember when the West blew up Nordstream, or when the Dniepner dam was blown by the Ukies? …..many non- western news agencies called them correctly, many foreign news agencies still report the facts- they don’t buy into senile Joe’s narrative.
You definitely get different details, that’s for sure. Sometimes between various sources you can even discover a hint of truth.
This news will anger freeper gluteus.
Yep, the Russkies were really clever this time.
They stole a Patriot system from Ukraine, shot down their own prisoner transport with 65 real Uke Nazis on it, and snuck the Patriot system back to Ukraine before the Biden Regime was any the wiser.
Not even Rooters could figure it out.
gluteus has already discovered this thread, and is beclowning himself on it.
“Puzzling to me. Don’t we furnish Ukraine with weapons? What is so peculiar about using them?”
I’m not sure that weapons were intended to be used to kill Ukrainians.
What Zaluzhni doink?
