As signs point to the 2024 presidential election being a repeat of the 2020 race between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, Biden holds a lead over Trump 50 - 44 percent among registered voters in a hypothetical general election matchup, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll of registered voters released today. ***
In today's poll, Democrats (96 - 2 percent) and independents (52 - 40 percent) support Biden, while Republicans (91 - 7 percent) support Trump.
The gender gap is widening.
Women 58 - 36 percent support Biden, up from December when it was 53 - 41 percent. Men 53 - 42 percent support Trump, largely unchanged from December when it was 51 - 41 percent.
"The gender demographic tells a story to keep an eye on. Propelled by female voters in just the past few weeks, the head-to-head tie with Trump morphs into a modest lead for Biden," said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy. ***
In a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup between President Biden and Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, a former United Nations Ambassador and South Carolina Governor, 47 percent of voters support Haley and 42 percent support Biden.
In today's poll, Democrats (87 - 10 percent) support Biden, while Republicans (79 - 4 percent) and independents (53 - 37 percent) support Haley.

“He started calling her that last September”
Sure but only Trump nerds heard him then. He slipped badly the last two weeks in NH, in my town which he won in 2016 and again in 2020 with decent margins he only beat Haley by a handful of votes.
And the thing is, no Haley voter is voting for Trump in November. Not a one.
The woman thing is real. He’s a stubborn old man (so am I), it’s hard to adapt but he’d better get some help or Newsom is going to wipe him out.
“Everybody else?” The Economist Poll has Biden up by +1. So “everybody else” is false. I accept your forthcoming apology for not telling the truth.
Why don’t Republicans constantly reiterate that Abortion is now a States Rights Issue…..go badger your State Reps. It should never be discussed again as a FEDERAL issue. Repubs are just plain dumb.
>>”...the thing is, no Haley voter is voting for Trump in November. Not a one.”
And they never were going to vote for him whether he called her birdbrain or not. As far as Trump having a problem with women, it’s primarily white, suburban college educated women.
Pollster Rich Baris makes the point that, percentage-wise, that’s a shrinking demographic. To tailor your message to win that subset of women doesn’t make sense. If you can get them, fine. But Trump doesn’t need their votes anymore He’s on a trajectory for a massive win in November and it’s coming from new demographics that are turning the old electoral calculus on its head. Trump has won these new supporters by being Trump - insults and all, and the insults are a feature of Trump’s appeal, not a detraction. They demonstrate that he’s a fighter.
LOL! You’ve got me there. The Yougov/Economist poll will no doubt always show the most far left Democrat ahead.
In the days of mass mail-in ballots, the Dems will make sure that a ballot is submitted for every registered voter, even if that voter had nothing to do with it.
Okay, nobody cares, just insults. Fine, just remember this when your candidate loses.
