State lawmakers in Georgia on Wednesday introduced legislation to void the racketeering charges former President Donald Trump is facing in the state. The lawmakers say they seek to prevent "current and future politically-motivated prosecutions commenced" in Georgia.

There has been some talk that Fani Willis and her boyfriend may be subject to RICO. So ... is this piece of legislation aimed at protecting Trump? or protecting the people who have been persecuting Trump?

A RICO charge is for an organization whose sole purpose is to commit large-scale illegal moneymaking endeavors.
President Trump organizing a political organization to engage in a political campaign is a legal function designed to win an election, not make ill-gotten money.
This says that Trump just by putting together a campaign group committed RICO crimes. Yes, they hate Trump that much that just running for office should be illegal.
