For six hours, people at YouTube knew what was happening, and, for some reason, were unable to stop it. What might that reason be?

I guess this guy needed to build up his subscriber base.
The reason it sat there for six hours is that no one was watching. Thousands of videos are posted every hour. No one is screening them. Most of them are never viewed.
