This (Trumps) was obviously the correct policy, but I doubt very much this had anything to do with the “military industrials” as Obama and co were also into cutting the defense budget. They managed one of the largest % reduction since WW2 (2010-2015). And Trump one of the larger increases.
And the Biden admin has been into holding down defense increases also, btw. Thats one reason the Navy and AF are behind on maintenance and missile/munitions procurement.
Its easy to assume you are on the right side of whatever, but you really should carefully examine where you stand. Your putative opponents have been on “your” side, a lot.
Everyone is both divided and confused, and this applies to both “sides”.

Iran is a bad actor, no doubt about it, we need to get on the same page with Israel on responses, probably better at present time to attack forward bases supported by Iran but nominally under control of hezbollah.
A priority for Trump if he can get back into power, is to identify terrorists already in USA and eliminate them. Striking targets in Iran is bound to have the effect of activating sleeper cells here. If all we do is to replace one nutcase leader with an equally insane substitute, we need to factor in whether we want to activate the sleeper cells before we know who they are and where they are — and we’re not going to do that under Joe Biden’s sleeper cell presidency.
