Evidently we shouldn’t care about that fact, because they targeted our soldiers FIRST ... We shouldn't care about that because it's simply not true.
From everything I've read about this incident, the U.S. "Tower 22" facility in Jordan is a supply depot for a U.S. military outpost in Syria that is a blatant violation of another nation’s sovereignty. The U.S. military has no business being there, and should be considered a legitimate military target by any adversary.

From everything I've read about this incident, the U.S. "Tower 22" facility in Jordan is a supply depot for a U.S. military outpost in Syria that is a blatant violation of another nation’s sovereignty. The U.S. military has no business being there, and should be considered a legitimate military target by any adversary. Of concern is that the Government of Jordan has apparently disclaimed the news that Tower 22 exists on their territory.
There is also a UN run 'refugee camp' at that location.

Jordan has been a very close major non-NATO ally of the United States in the Middle East since 1996.
Our “Tower 22” is totally legit and has the backing of the Jordan Government.
